Magic is considered one of the gravest sins in Islam, explicitly condemned among the major prohibitions due to its harmful effects on individuals and society, and its violation of divine limits.

The Fatwa official clarified that both the Qur’an and Sunnah highlight the severity of magic and its consequences, emphasizing that practicing it is a sinful act that incurs great punishment.

As for those afflicted by magic, it is regarded as a test from Allah. If a person remains patient, seeks help from Allah alone, and avoids prohibited methods, they may be rewarded greatly for their patience and trust in God.

Maintaining steadfastness in faith and strengthening one’s relationship with Allah are key factors in overcoming trials. Belief that healing comes only from Allah brings comfort and helps ease the burden of hardship.

Regular acts of worship—such as prayer, maintaining ablution, observing daily supplications, especially morning and evening remembrances, and increasing remembrance of Allah—are among the most effective means of relieving distress and lifting affliction.
