It is reported that the Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah would intensify his worship during these nights, staying awake in prayer and encouraging his family to do the same.

When do the last ten nights begin?

In 2026, the last ten nights are expected to begin at sunset on Tuesday, March 10, and continue until the dawn of Wednesday, March 18.

Odd nights during the last ten nights

Muslims especially seek Laylat al-Qadr during the odd nights:

  • Night of 21 Ramadan – evening of March 10

  • Night of 23 Ramadan – evening of March 12

  • Night of 25 Ramadan – evening of March 14

  • Night of 27 Ramadan – evening of March 16

  • Night of 29 Ramadan – evening of March 18

Recommended acts of worship

  • Persisting in supplication with hope of acceptance.

  • Repeating the famous supplication: “O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive us.”
