The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged parents to pray for their children, emphasizing that supplication is one of the greatest means of ensuring their guidance, protection, and righteousness.

Among the most meaningful supplications in this regard is the prayer: “O Allah, make them guided and rightly guided, neither astray nor leading others astray,” a comprehensive plea for steadfastness on the right path.

Another well-known supplication asks for protection: “O Allah, protect them from before them, behind them, on their right, and on their left,” seeking complete divine safeguarding.

There are also prayers focused on upbringing and provision: “O Allah, nurture their young, strengthen their weak, and grant them health in their bodies,” along with prayers for wisdom: “O Allah, fill their hearts with springs of wisdom, let it flow upon their tongues, and provide them with lawful sustenance.”

The Qur’an also includes a comprehensive supplication for offspring: “My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my prayer,” highlighting the importance of righteous lineage.

Islamic teachings also prohibit praying against children and encourage always praying for their good, as parental supplication carries immense weight and acceptance.

These prayers remain a source of peace, hope, and spiritual nurturing for families.
