Ramadan is the month of mercy, forgiveness, and liberation from the fire, offering a unique opportunity to intensify worship and seize every moment in good deeds. Rewards are multiplied, and prayers are answered, especially in Laylat al-Qadr: (Indeed, We sent it [the Qur’an] down during the Night of Decree * And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? * The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months).

Tips to Invest Your Time in Ramadan:

  1. Supplication and Remembrance of Allah:
Dhikr is the highest form of worship, especially in Ramadan, bringing Allah’s pleasure, warding off evil, wiping away sins, and making deeds accepted. The fasting person’s supplication at iftar is never rejected.

  2. Prayer:
Observing obligatory and voluntary prayers, including Tarawih and Qiyam, leads to forgiveness and multiplied rewards. The two rak’ahs of Fajr are better than the world. Prayer after Fajr in congregation followed by dhikr equals the reward of Hajj and Umrah.

  3. Recitation of the Qur’an:
Every letter read is rewarded tenfold. Organize daily recitation, especially in Ramadan, as the Qur’an nourishes the soul and brings immense reward.

  4. Zakat:
Giving zakat in Ramadan carries great reward and shows solidarity with the needy. The Prophet ﷺ was most generous during this month.

  5. Charity:
Daily voluntary charity, given secretly to Allah, wipes sins, multiplies reward, and acts as a shield on the Day of Judgment.

  6. Maintaining Family Ties:
Visit relatives, check on them, and assist those in need. This increases sustenance and blessings, demonstrates piety, and is particularly meritorious in Ramadan.

  7. Observing Laylat al-Qadr:
Strive in worship during the last ten nights, especially the odd nights, as it surpasses a thousand months in reward.

Investing time in Ramadan means balancing daily worship—prayers, dhikr, Qur’an reading—with acts of kindness, charity, and maintaining family ties, leaving the believer at the end of Ramadan forgiven, content, and liberated from the fire.
