Nour El Nabawy: I’ve Watched 3,000 Films and Fell in Love with Cinema at a Young Age

Actor Nour El Nabawy revealed details about his early passion for cinema, confirming that he has watched nearly 3,000 films since childhood, during his appearance on the talk show “Fadfadt Awy.”

Actor Nour El Nabawy appeared as a guest on the talk show “Fadfadt Awy,” hosted by director Moataz El Touny on the digital platform Watch it, where he spoke openly about his artistic journey, his entry into cinema and drama, and personal aspects of his life.

El Nabawy explained that his love for cinema began at a very young age, noting that his true passion emerged when he was around 13 or 14 years old. At that time, he spent long hours at home watching films, reaching nearly 2,000 movies during his early years, before the number eventually climbed to around 3,000 films.

He added that he was not only a viewer, but also keen on following the works of major directors and watching their films in full to understand their artistic styles. He highlighted director Sherif Arafa as one of the closest filmmakers to his heart, mentioning that the film “Sleeping in Honey” remains one of his all-time favorites.

“Fadfadt Awy” is considered a unique talk show experience, where Moataz El Touny hosts prominent stars in a light-hearted, comedic atmosphere, allowing them to discuss their careers, personal stories, and behind-the-scenes moments.

The show is among Watch it’s latest original productions, consisting of 30 episodes aired every Wednesday, and featuring a wide lineup of top stars, including Ashraf Zaki, Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Menna Shalaby, Mohamed Radwan, Mohamed Tharwat, Hisham Maged, Amr Youssef, Maged El Kedwany, Bayoumi Fouad, Mohamed Mamdouh, Ous Ous, Mimi Gamal, Rahma Ahmed, and others.
